Senior Center Cooling Shelter

For Immediate Release:  June 25, 2021 2:30 p.m.

According to the US National Weather Service, many parts of Oregon are expected to reach record-breaking temperatures over the weekend, with up to 114 degrees in the Lebanon area.

The City of Lebanon will be opening up the Lebanon Senior Center, as a cooling shelter, geared toward our senior population (ages 50 and over).  We will be open on Saturday, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Sunday, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

We will also have transportation to and from cooling shelters, within the Lebanon area, during those same timeframes.  Please call LINX Transit at 541-258-4920, to arrange for a ride, at no cost.

Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have accommodations for pets, with the exception of service animals.

Please contact the Lebanon Senior Center at 541-258-4919, for more information.
