Choose Lebanon
Start and Grow Here
Lebanon is changing. Over the past five years, Lebanon has seen a growth in its downtown, led by young entrepreneurs. With the expansion of the education community, Lebanon is experiencing a shift that is increasing its diversity, lowering the median age of residents, and growing its population. With a lower cost of living and doing business being more affordable than large cities, Lebanon is a prime place to begin or expand your business.
Infrastructure and Utility information
The City of Lebanon is a forward-thinking community, looking into the future to ensure that critical infrastructure needs are accurately projected and addressed. Lebanon continues to put significant capital investment in both new infrastructure and maintenance, helping to ensure businesses have the necessary public facilities to thrive.
Through the Development Review Team, the city actively works with businesses and developers to ensure all utility and infrastructure needs are available to help your business.
Power
Lebanon is served by two major companies that will help power your business.
Pacific Power
Consumers Power Inc.
Digital Infrastructure
Lebanon is well-served by several telecommunications carriers to provide fiber optic data, wireless internet, and voice to meet business needs.
PEAK Internet
Century Link
Comcast
Railroad Access
Lebanon is fortunate to have a strong, well-maintained freight rail network, which provides customers with transload and direct site services. With access to markets served by both major (Class I) railroads, Lebanon can be a rare, strategic location for shippers seeking to serve customers throughout the Willamette Valley and across the Nation.
Albany & Eastern Railroad Company
Water
The City’s Public Works Department oversees the repair, replacement, utility line locates, system flushing, water quality, and all other water needs.
Wastewater
The City of Lebanon operates and maintains the wastewater treatment facility to clean wastewater and recycle waste for agricultural use.
Regional Connections
Lebanon is centrally located within the Willamette Valley. The proximity to major resources allows Lebanon to enjoy the same benefits of larger cities at a lower cost, while providing a rural environment, close to natural resources, recreation, and close community. (click HERE for map)

Truck Routes
Lebanon is served by routes connecting the City to State Highway 34, U.S. Highway 20, and Interstate 5. The City recognizes the importance of truck routes for development and has established several transportation routes and areas to accommodate this need. (click HERE for map)
Freight Rail
Lebanon’s freight rail network has connected the community’s growing economy to the Willamette Valley region--and markets far beyond—since 1880. The railroad network connects Lebanon to Sweet Home, Mill City, and Albany, with access south to Eugene, north to Portland, and beyond.

Planning and Zoning
Our Planning Department reviews, approves, and coordinates land development activity. They will work closely with you to ensure that all requirements of the Lebanon Development Code, Comprehensive Plan, and all other plans are met. The Planning Department can also aid you in understanding how your business is zoned and the necessary zoning permits. You can access the public map gallery to find up to date zoning designations, floodplains, utilities, and more to aid in the initial phases of your businesses plans.
