Lebanon Senior Center Re-Opening Doors (June 1, 2021)
Oregon Health Authority (OHA) recently placed “Senior Centers” in the Indoor Entertainment Sector, which allows the Lebanon Senior Center to open our doors and offer some limited in-person programming, following the COVID-19 safety protocols outlined in that sector.
We will be opening our doors back up on June 1st, 2021. We will be open Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Senior Center staff will be available to assist seniors with questions and resource information, one-on-one appointments for technology assistance and other services, in-person programming, book sales and are available to small- to-medium groups for activities that can socially distance. Seniors can also make reservations to use the public computers, fitness room and pool and billiards room.
Over the last 15 months, as we moved programming to online platforms (Facebook, YouTube & Zoom), we’ve met many new friends. In order to help keep folks connected and provide programming during a time when we may need to limit group sizes, we will be offering programming in variety of forms. We will be offering hybrid programming (in person and online), some will remain online, other programming will move to in person and we will still offer craft kits and activity packets for pick-up. Group size will be restricted by our ability to accommodate social distancing requirements.
At this time, we are not able to offer the onsite congregate meal program or communal food sharing.
Following the guidelines of OHA, governing bodies, and county level restrictions, individuals who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 should wear a mask for the duration of their visit to the Senior Center building. Individuals that have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 have the option to wear or not wear a mask while in the Senior Center building. Thank you for supporting our efforts in meeting the requirements for us to begin re-opening.
Follow the Lebanon Senior Center on Facebook, for the most up to date information, class schedules and information sharing. As improvements in case numbers and county levels improve, we’ll be offering additional programming and socializing opportunities.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we move through the slow re-opening process. Please contact the Lebanon Senior Center at 541.258.4919 for more information on any of our programs and with any other concern or assistance you or a neighbor might need.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
